Whilst posting my latest post on a SQL server issue, I realized that my blog is 5 years old today. A long and random path, with long spates of not posting. I think I’ve stepped up a little more recently, but I could probably do more. So what has 5 years got me?
Over the past 5 years, I’ve posted 372 posts, roughly 74 posts a year, that doesn’t seem like too much when I look at it, but then I look at it a different way… just over a post a week. I’m sure some of that has bigger spaces of a month or more between them.
My most popular post by far, and has been for a long time, is about CapitalOne, and an issue of fraud. This wasn’t about CapitalOne being fraudulent, but an issue I had with their fraud department, and methods of communications. Seems I’m not the only one that has issues with it.
Most of my posts are tech related, problem solving mostly, or posts about issues I’ve resolved at work, just in case I need to get back to them so I can remember how I fixed them, or hope some others might find them helpful. From time to time, I throw out a post that solves other people’s issues because I saw somebody ask a question. The odd rant sneaks in from time to time, but I try to avoid those, unless they’re rants about tech issues.
What is to come? No clue, probably the same sort of stuff. I’m going to try stepping it up a bit, post more news and stuff about the industry I’m in, otherwise it is likely to stay more of the same. If you like it, subscribe to my feed, drop a comment, give me a hint on what you might like to see.
